MarketWatch is monitoring another eight cryptocurrencies

MarketWatch, the news publication unit of Dow Jones Media Group, announced Wednesday that it will begin to monitor the market moves of eight additional cryptocurrencies.

On Wednesday, the company said that in addition to its bitcoin tracking tool, MarketWatch will show information for ether, XRP, bitcoin money, litecoin, ether classic, monero, dash and zcash. The website has charted the bitcoin price since 2014.

The new service will publish quotes in real time for both the US dollar and the euro, as well as for the historical price trend for the nine cryptographic assets, using data from the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange.

"There is no doubt that our readers, as the world's most experienced investors, have an eye on the digital currency and we are happy to expand our real-time monitoring of a total of 9 cryptocurrencies in both euros and USD , with the help of Kraken "Dan Shar, Director General of MarketWatch, stated in a statement.

The Dow Jones Media Group itself has moved to test the blockchain in recent days, perhaps signaling a broader interest in the technology within the company beyond its offerings on MarketWatch.

Dow Jones said last week that he is working with Brave, the privacy-oriented Web browser startup, to try out his blockchain platform. The two companies will test the delivery of content using the block-based Brave platform for digital advertising and the subsidiaries of Dow Jones Media Group Barron & # 39; s and MarketWatch will become "verified publishers," as previously reported.
