The Blockchain summit in Malta opened its doors to the Intercontinental this morning, welcoming thousands of professionals and blockchain fans from all over the world. After an evening of VIP dinners, networking and activities of all kinds around Paceville, the delegates were eager to continue their experience here at the summit.
The panel of "Your blockchainable business" this morning was packed up to the edge, leaving to the public the unanimous answer of yes, almost every company can and should use the blockchain.
Speaker Dr. Mihaela Ulieru, or "Dr. M" of Endor has been involved with Blockchain since the beginning and is a great supporter of technology. He has extensive knowledge in the intersection of AI and blockchain from his time at MIT and has also talked about the intersection of advertising and blockchain.
"[Advertising and blockchain] work together amiable but for the benefit of the individual. And of course to the detriment of centralized Google and Facebook who are effectively absorbing all the gains from the brands and do not actually deliver to the customer because the wrong ad goes to the wrong customer, "Dr. M shared with CoinGeek.com
"With Blockchain you can have a direct connection with your customers and incentivize them through tokens, through Bitcoin if you want, or any kind of token that designs to look at your brand, only if they want it, obviously," he explained.
"If you look at the brand and the offers, you can offer them directly and do not pay Google, but from that amount you can take a part and make a discount for that person who is really interested in your product. a lot of money, a lot of value. The nature of value returns to its true origins, "added Dr. M.
While Malta is now in the process of establishing itself as "Blockchain Island" by becoming a hub for blockchain activities, Malta has maintained its position as a popular jurisdiction of the online gambling industry. There is a natural crossover between the blockchain and iGaming industries, creating a perfect storm here in Malta.
Local service providers such as the E & S group, whose areas of expertise include both blockchain and iGaming, have found themselves in an ideal position on the island.
"I think that blockchain is usable for everyone in the world and includes games," shared Dr. Christian Ellul, Director of E & S Group.
"But games tend to lend themselves to blockchain, so we have some ICOs who are funding, for example, a game company, we have other gaming companies that want to start using crypto currencies and there are basically rules for ## assignment of the sandbox by the MGA now, so they connect very well, "he said.
The E & S group has hosted one of the most entertaining stands of the expo, complete with a cocktail bar and a high quality photo booth complete with blockchain themed accessories.
"We try to have a fun environment, not the tedious law firm set up, so we have a thirsty bar that's sort of a very popular local bar, so the cocktails are coming and everyone is going for that," said Dr. Ellul at CoinGeek.com
"We have this special camera that takes pictures, prints with funny signs of Bitcoin and all those things and it was a success, people keep coming and going and taking pictures, see what we do and drink something, so it's a good environment ", He confirmed.
Looking around at the Blockchain expo in Malta, it is clear that the Blockchain industry is young, excited and prosperous, a perfect market for elegant swag crypts. Or at least Leo Leiman of BadChain, he seems to think so.
After attending dozens of blockchain-themed events in the last year since its cryptic branded apparel company was launched, Leiman has enjoyed its time at the Malta Gaming Summit for the quality of the participants and the their dedication to invest and grow the industry.
"You have to find clothes to wear, you have to be elegant here because many men in the business are smart and I think they could also be elegant, that's how our idea was born and I decided to do all the rest, I decided to do it a year ago and I created a blockchain system for clothing just for fun, "Leiman told CoinGeek.com.
"I can create T-shirts for you, coats, raincoats, crypto T-shirts, rings with crypto, with Ethereum, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, as you wish … I have a great experience in this field and I know how to make younger generation more happy. It's a very elegant industry, it's young, fresh, "he added.
As Malta's Blockchain summit closed, we met the "conference organizing guru", Eman Pulis, who invested a tremendous amount of time and effort to organize such an event.
"First show, baptism of fire, 8500 people, I could not be happier than that", Pulis shared with CoinGeek.com
"There's so much to do in Malta on the blockchain front, but the government has made it so easy for us to build this show here and the buzz is real, so there are people who come not only from Europe, but there was a strong presence from North America, from Asia, from Latin America and everyone is doing great business, "he said.
"We had some great speakers, some colorful as John McAfee, a bit controversial that did not hurt the show, we had the founder of Cardano, we had the very first professor who wrote the very first article on blockchain, Professor Scott Stornetta , so the content was very very rich, "added Pulis.
"But in addition to the content, I think about what I learned from SiGMA, is that a floor plan must be lively. You need to create the right atmosphere for people to relax and start trusting the one. another to do business and I think that's what we did unlike many other blockchain shows, "he said.
