The airline is moving the Airbus A350 from Munich to Frankfurt. Long-range Lufthansa jets will not fly empty between German hubs.
Munich was actually the home of Lufthansa’s Airbus A350. But then came the crown crisis. As the airline is drastically reducing its offer, it is now increasingly focusing its offer on Frankfurt. They only use modern long-haul Airbus jets from their main hub.
Four Airbus A350s will certainly be transferred from Munich to Frankfurt. And on Sunday (October 25), management informed employees that perhaps four more A350s will be relocated. This means that passengers can exceptionally enjoy a domestic flight with the modern long-haul aircraft.
Long range cabin, short range service
As reported by the Reiseopia portal, Lufthansa is not transferring its empty planes from Munich to Frankfurt. The individual scheduled flights on the route are then operated with the Airbus A350 and can be booked as normal – around 30 October at 9pm or 6pm. If there are actually more A350s to Frankfurt, there should be more opportunities for that long-haul feeling on the hour-long flight.
Even if the equipment is that of a long-range jet, the service remains reduced. Therefore, there should only be one bottle of water in Economy Class and the current short-haul service in Business Class.
