Mati Greenspan of eToro thinks that Litecoin is underestimated. The eToro Senior Market Analyst has released information on various altcoins in a recent interview with AMBCrypto. We like some of Greenspan's ideas but we are a little unsure about others. Let's take a closer look.
Predictions by Mati Greenspan for Litecoin, EOS and more
Litecoin (LTC) was one of the currencies that benefited from the recent market recovery from the beginning of this week. Litecoin has seen gains of 8% over 24 hours, and people all over the world are taking note. Mati Greenspan thinks this is for a good reason.
Greenspan considers Litecoin undervalued compared to the competing cryptocurrencies in the broader market. He judges it considering the user base of Litecoin, the daily transactions and the volume of exchanges on eToro and other markets. Greenspan sees the activity. The activity is perhaps a better measure of the intrinsic value of a payment encryption than any other, but we are not sure that this indicates the entire history of Litecoin.
Litecoin has not had a significant development in months. As a technology, it's going away. In addition, Litecoin has more intense competition from other cryptocurrencies like the Ripple XRP than ever before. We are not convinced that the LTC can survive without significant upgrades, and those do not seem to come out of their minds.
Speaking of Ripple XRP, Greenspan expresses cautious optimism, although he urges caution, citing a Ripple study that states that society has only a 25% chance of surviving long-term. Greenspan explains that if Ripple really becomes a new global payment standard, its associated price increase will be great. But Ripple is more likely to fail in this sense than to succeed, at least according to Greenspan. That said, the price increase of Ripple in 2018 was quite impressive for everyone.
When asked which coins are more bullish, Mati Greenspan sticks to the classics. Bitcoin, Ethereum, DASH and EOS are at the top of the list. No one can argue with BTC, ETH or DASH. And although controversial and plagued by initial difficulties, in the EOS field there is still much development and action of the user. Of these four, perhaps DASH has the best argument for high value increases, as growth is heavy and new markets such as Central America seem wide open. Ethereum too has long been a revival and Ethereum 4.0 may be a few months away. Bitcoin is … well, Bitcoin, and we all know it will not go anywhere soon.
It's the end of the year, and the crypto personalities are making their best predictions for 2019. We're not sure how Mati Greenspan's predictions will look another year from today. Except for Litecoin, we think that each of its best choices is a contender for future relevance and value increase. Whatever the 2019, we hope it has better news for the 2018 crypt. Whatever happens, we'll be here to watch and comment.
