The launch of the European rocket Vega, which launched two satellites into space, ended in failure probably due to a manufacturing error. This caused a deviation of the trajectory and therefore the failure of the entire mission. The director of Arianespace informed him.
The Vega rocket was launched on Tuesday at 02:52 CET from the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana. The error occurred approximately eight minutes after startup. The rocket disintegrated in the atmosphere, its fragments fell into the Atlantic Ocean. Both satellites it was supposed to launch into space were also destroyed.
The European Space Agency (ESA) and Arianespace have agreed to establish a joint commission of inquiry to examine the missed launch and its circumstances and to take any action to ensure that a similar situation does not reoccur. (arianspace, tasr)
