The first version will be the DDR5-4800 model with a single capacity of 16GB. Coinciding with the launch of Intel and AMD DDR5 platforms, DDR5 modules are expected to launch in Q3 2021 at the earliest.

TeamGroup stated that the company is well aware of the importance of DDR generations. Therefore, after JEDEC promulgated the DDR5 SDDRAM standard, it took the opportunity to actively negotiate with the original manufacturers to create a new generation of the future and is fully in place to prepare for the next generation of DDR5 memory modules.

TeamGroup is the first to add new DDR5 DRAM products to the hot-selling ELITE series product line, and the first wave will launch a single DDR5-4800 model with 4800MHz specification and 16GB capacity. The operating voltage of the new DDR-5 memory was not only reduced from 1.2V of the previous generation DDR4 to 1.1V, but the data transfer rate was also increased to 4,800Mbps ~ 5,200Mbps, which reduced the power consumption by 10% and increased up to 1.6 times The transfer speed.

However, DDR4 memory will not be phased out as quickly in the next few years. DDR5 will only be used in the server market for the first time in 2021 and will be officially used in the PC market in 2022.
