Kuwait

In Kuwait, one of the richest countries in the world, only 3% said they have never used the internet.

80% of people over the age of 60 use the Internet and 100% of those between the ages of 18 and 29.

Lebanon

The percentage of those who do not use the Internet in Lebanon is 12%, while the percentage of those over 60 reaches 52% and between 18-29 the percentage reaches 99%.

At the gender level, the percentage of men using the Internet is similar to that of women, which is 88%.

Jordan

The percentage of those who do not use the Internet in Jordan reaches 16%, while the percentage of those who do not use the Internet in Jordan is 48% in the over 60s group and 96% in the 18-29 age group.

Regarding the gender divide, the percentage of males using the internet in Jordan is 86%, compared to 83% for women.

The percentage of its use in the urban environment reaches 86%, while in the rural sector it is 76%.

Palestine

In Palestine, 17% say they have never used the Internet, while the percentage of use among the over 60s group reaches 33% and 95% among 18-29 year olds.

The percentage of males using the Internet is 87%, compared to 80% of females.

The percentage of its use in the urban environment reaches 85% and the percentage in the rural environment reaches 78%.

Iraq

24 percent of Iraqis do not use the internet, 41 percent of people over 60 use it, while the percentage of those aged 18 to 29 is used by 89 percent.

Algeria

The Internet non-use rate in Algeria is 32 percent, and the percentage of those over 60 does not exceed 21 percent, while the youth population rises to 93 percent.

Males use the Internet by 72%, compared to 64% of females.

The rate of Internet non-use in Morocco reaches 31%, while the rate of use of the age group 60 and over does not exceed 16%, while among young people it reaches 93%.

In terms of gender, the percentage of males using the Internet is 79% compared to 56% of women.

Tunisia

In Tunisia, 41% of people do not use the Internet, while 23% of people over the age of 60 use it and between 18 and 29 the percentage of use reaches 91%.

Males use the Internet by 73%, compared to 44% of females.

The percentage of its use in urban areas reaches 63% and 49% in rural areas.

Egypt

The rate of internet non-use in Egypt is 42% and the rate of non-use in the category 60 and over does not exceed 9%, while the youth group reaches 90%.

The percentage of use in urban areas reaches 67%, while in rural areas it reaches 52%.

In Yemen, which is one of the poorest countries in the world, the percentage of those who do not have access to the Internet is around 47%, compared to 53%.

The percentage of people over the age of 60 using the Internet does not exceed 4%, while the percentage reaches 77% among young people.

As for the division by gender, the percentage of males using the Internet reaches 61%, against 45% of females.

The percentage of its use in urban areas reaches 62%, while in rural areas the percentage reaches 48%.

The report concluded that those who lack digital knowledge and the ability to benefit from information and communication technology face greater challenges as society becomes increasingly dependent on technology and the internet.
