The leading international network of knowledge exchange between real estate, IT and blockchain technology, FIBREE, is expanding in the United States and South America in January 2019. Newmark Knight Frank Executive Director (NKF) Geoffrey Kasselman , SIOR, LEED AP, in the company's Chicago office, has been named Chicago's regional president for the organization.
FIBREE, based in Amsterdam, is a non-profit organization that aims to be an essential global voice and the best international network to facilitate the knowledge and exchange of blockchain between the real estate and IT sectors where the blockchain technology. Expanding the successful and decentralized meet-up network around the world, FIBREE will also improve the exchange between different local hubs and intensify the exchange between companies, startups, technology companies and related experts.
"By expanding our organization in the Americas, we are further achieving our goal to reach real estate, financial and IT professionals with blockchain interests worldwide," said FIBREE President Achim Jedelsky. "Also, to name Geoffrey as one of our regional presidents for expansion in the United States was the ideal: his expertise in real estate and his shared vision on the use of blockchains in real estate together with his proven global leadership experience made him perfect for the position ".
Since its recent foundation in July 2018, FIBREE is already active in eight European countries (Austria, Croatia, Georgia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Slovenia), three Asian countries (India, Israel and Taiwan) and Australia, with a active network of over 2,000 blockchain and real estate enthusiasts. The eight co-founders of FIBREE are experienced real estate experts and blockchain precursors, who can also access a reliable and controlled network of over 15,000 professionals with similar ideas around the world. FIBREE will further expand its network in the Americas and other countries throughout 2019. The FIBREE membership is free.

The regional FIBREE presidents will guide and facilitate local and regional blockchain networking events, education, use cases, partnerships, sponsorships, membership and the overall development of the FIBREE mission in their respective markets.
