IOS 14.2.1 update released for iPhone 12! Here’s what’s new

The iPhone 12 family with iOS 14 has been on the agenda for a while. The youngest member of the family was receiving complaints from users with iPhone 12 Mini screen issues. Users who have encountered this issue have had trouble performing touch controls while the phone was on the lock screen. Apple said this problem will be addressed with a software update. In fact, that update was released. iOS 14.2.1 has been officially released.

HERE’S WHAT’S NEW IN IOS 14.2.1

iOS 14.2.1 includes some bug fixes and improvements in addition to the iPhone 12 Mini screen issue. As a result, an issue that causes multimedia messages (MMS) not to be received is resolved with this update. Additionally, sound quality issues when listening to audio on iPhone with Made for iPhone hearing aids have been resolved with iOS 14.2.1.

Models older than iPhone 12 (older models such as iPhone 11, iPhone X, iPhone 7, iPhone 8) will not receive the iOS 14.2.1 update. Apple has limited the new iOS update to the iPhone 12 family only.

HOW TO INSTALL THE IOS 14.2.1 UPDATE?

• Don’t forget to backup before upgrading.
• Plug your device into the power source and connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.
• Go to settings from your iPhone.
• Click on the General menu in Settings and tap on the software update option. Here you will see the iOS 14.2.1 update.
• Start downloading the update by clicking Download and Install.
• Tap Install to update now. Alternatively, you can tap Later and select Install Tonight or Remind Me Later. If you tap Install Tonight, simply plug the device into power before going to bed. Your device is automatically updated at night.
• During this time, your iPhone will turn off and two bars will appear.
• Your iPhone will light up with the Apple logo after the bar bars disappear.
