British Columbia’s Interior Health Authority has issued a COVID-19 warning to its residents as cases increase in the region.

An order from the provincial health officer on Saturday restricting social interactions does not apply to the internal health area, but the authority says in a statement that it needs help from the public to prevent further restrictions.
It asks people to avoid non-essential travel, including unnecessary visits to the Lower Continent or other jurisdictions with cases of COVID-19 on the rise.

Meanwhile, the BC provincial court issued its latest sanitary measure, saying the provincial public health office has informed BC courts are exempt from the recommendation to wear masks in all public places.
