Change Healthcare has increased its bet on blockchain technology by announcing the acquisition of PokitDok technologies.
The deal, announced Tuesday morning, includes the "intellectual property and other key resources" of PokitDok, a platform-as-service company that is considered one of the first to apply blockchain technology in the area of the company. health care.
The details of the acquisition price have not been disclosed.
Assuming software, IP and the PokitDok team, Change Healthcare executives say the move will further extend the capabilities and technology of Change Healthcare's Intelligent Healthcare network for payers, suppliers and independent software vendors.

The change is 70% owned by McKesson, in an agreement dating back to 2016, when Change incorporated most of McKesson's IT units.
