With the official launch of the Mac equipped with Apple’s M1 processor, everyone will naturally have the opportunity to explore the insides of this new computer, especially the internal structure. iFixit took a look at the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and found that the design inside is almost the same as the Intel version.

The internal structure of the M1 version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro is basically the same as the Intel version. The cooling fan is also the same model. The only difference is that it is replaced with Apple’s M1 chip. Since the MacBook Air is a fanless design, it looks different. However, neither machine has a dedicated T2 security chip, because it’s built into the M1’s Secure Enclave technology. Interestingly, iFixit found that both MacBooks use the same SK hynix LPDDR4X memory chip as the iPad.
