MANILA – The "immutability" of the blockchain can promote transparency because it is used in government and business, a technology supplier said on Monday.
In addition to the cryptocurrency trade, the blockchain can also be used in critical commercial and financial transactions, in philanthropy and even in elections, said ANC founder Traxion Tech Inc and CEO Ann Cuisia.
"Blockchain is seen as a new technology for sharing, saving and protecting data, which means that every transaction can not be changed and removed … When people express their vote it is what it is," he said Cuisia.
The Philippines is "ready" for the 2019 mid-term blockchain driving, but should attract quality players, he said.
