What we know now is that only in 2022 will we see cheaper versions of the Hummer GMC on the market, if the price of nearly $ 100,000 can be considered affordable. The base model, which will be available from 2024 for $ 79,995, will also be significantly more expensive than the Tesla Cybertruck.

Future rival Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T boasts acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (about 96 km / h) in three seconds, provided by its three electric motors. Their total power exceeds 1,000 horsepower. The torque behind the wheel can reach an impressive value, of over 15,000 Nm, although the real value of the engine torque will be a little more moderate (so to speak), around 2000 Nm.

GM talks about a range of over 560 km for the GMC Hummer in the Edition 1 version. It has fast charging capabilities at a maximum power of 350 kW and can increase the range by 150 km after 10 minutes of charging.

General Motors appears to have some kind of weakness for flash sales launches, which are more common in China for cell phones than in the West for cars. The Chevrolet Corvette was similarly promoted a year ago. All production scheduled for 2020 ended shortly after launch. In the case of the Corvette, there were no fewer than 40,000 units.
