Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai could produce 3,500 to 4,000 vehicles per week

According to information, the first batch of Tesla vehicles, produced in Shanghai (China), will leave that city this Tuesday for the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium. According to the Electrek website, 7,000 vehicles from China will arrive in this first shipment.

Today, Tesla held an event that served to celebrate the export of vehicles to Europe. In a Chinese document, it is said that the vehicles were produced at Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai and are about 7000 Model 3. In addition to Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden and Italy, these cars will also reach the Portuguese market.

An event for Chinese-made vehicles exported to Europe was held at Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai on 26 October. Around 7,000 Chinese-made Model 3 vehicles will leave for export to the European market tomorrow. They are expected to arrive in Belgian ports at the end of next month and will be sold to a dozen countries including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland and Sweden.

Tesla executive Zhu Xiaotong attended the ceremony which revealed that Tesla is currently capable of producing 3,500 to 4,000 vehicles per week at the Shanghai Gigafactory.

The Chinese plant, the first of the American company built outside the United States, will have a capacity of producing 150,000 units this year. It should also be noted that the company sold more than 11,000 Model 3 cars in China last month.
