Parity Technologies has launched Substrate, a tool that allows users to create custom blockchains for decentralized applications.
L & # 39; Company announced Tuesday that Substrate is now available as a beta release, adding that open-source technology is designed to be "as generic as possible" to allow flexibility in blockchain design. The included API also allows users to create their own consent mechanism or to use "the majority" of existing algorithms.

Substrate is currently licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPLv3), said Parity, but plans to upgrade to the open source Apache 2.0 license for "maximum freedom of development."
