Developer of scaling solutions known for the Ethereum project, Prysmatic Labs, has released the first working demo for its solution "Shasper" Ethereum 2.0.
In them Post mediumPrysmatic Labs describes Shasper, which combines elements of Sharding and the Casper protocol. Work on the project started at the end of 2017, and the new demo allows users to stake their tokens through the Proof-of-Stake Case mechanism. The Ethereum version of Prysmatic Lab will use a new chain called the beacon chain, which will be synchronized with the current Ethereum Proof of Work chain, allowing Ethereum users to use up to 32 ETHs on the new chain of beacons.
Prysmatic Labs emphasizes that this product is much more a demo version that is a preview of how the real ETH 2.0 client will be. Fragments, cross fragments and some features related to the shard as the execution of the shard state will not be present in this release. That said, it will include the Casper FFG reward and penalty mechanisms, the basic sharding functions, Bazel, and the connection of validation clients to the beacon node via Remote Procedure Calls (RPC).

Prysmatic Labs is led by Thiel fellow Raul Jordan is Preston Van Loon, a software engineer at Google. They received grants from the Ethereum foundation for their research on improvements. The team took on the responsibility of developing new solutions to build the basics of "Web 3.0"On themselves, with founder Raul Jordan suggests that developers are selling little compared to their ability to contribute:
"We believe there is a kind of viewer effect for the developer", where many protocol developers feel like there are tons of smarter people working on these issues and that these projects "come true". However, a long time has passed and few teams outside of Ethereum Research have stepped up the challenge. "
It is expected that both Sharding and Casper strongly support Ethereum, to the point that it can become a viable processing platform. Market experts announce it as a turning point for the project, which, like any other project on the market, has undergone some difficult months, including briefly passed by Ripple.
Shading is a parallelization technique that divides the transactions into groups or fragments, each with its own history and status. This allows transactions to be produced simultaneously, without having to be validated by every node in the network. While there are some security compromises, various security solutions have been studied.
Casper it is the long-awaited passage from Ethereum to a Penalty Mechanism. Casper FFG is a hybrid work-proof and mail-proof mechanism that is designed to facilitate the transition into a completely PoS network. At the beginning of this year, Ethereum has released the first version of Casper. The final version of Casper should arrive in 2019, while the sharding is scheduled for 2020.
Ethereum had planned to release its upgrade to Constantinople on the testnet this month, but the strong fork was delayed. The update would have, among other things, made changes to the code execution and the issue of prizes.
