Amanda Gutterman, chief marketing officer of the blockchain company, ConsenSys recently posted on Twitter that the company has announced a grant program to Devcon4. The announcement made by Joseph Lubin has included that projects under development within the Ethereum ecosystem will be rewarded with $ 500,000 if they focus on certain aspects of the industry, such as infrastructure, usability, interoperability, search and more. Tweet by Gutterman:
"The @ConsenSys Grant Program was announced this morning at # Devcon4 from @ethereumJoseph! We will award $ 500,000 to projects in the #Ethereum space that focus on infrastructure, research, interoperability, usability and development tools."
In a conference at the beginning of this year, Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of ConsenSys, stated that his company was born from the idea that products should be built at the application level . In addition, as regards the company's headquarters, he stated that placing the business in the United States was a decision surrounded with much nervousness and led to the establishment of ConsenSys in Switzerland.
Metamask is a ConsensSys developer tool that allows users to run Ethereum-based dApps on browsers rather than running entire Ethereum nodes. In this regard, Lubin also stated that the lack of infrastructure was the inspiration for the company to build its development tools. The ConsensSys Academy was mentioned to be another example of this creation.
About two months ago, LinkedIn, one of the leading business and employment-oriented services, listed ConsenSys among the top 50 US startups along with several other crypto-companies, such as Coinbase, Ripple, Robinhood and Gemini. ConsensSys took 26th place while Coinbase finished third and Ripple was seventh in the list.
A Twitter user and a blockchain space enthusiast, Leah Jones on Gutterman's Tweet wrote:
"It's all right, but we should focus on the adoption of the main flow"
Brad Mills, another cryptocurrency and follower blockchain commented:
"Does this aim to attract world-class cryptographers?
It might work "
