The China Information Industry Development Center (CCID) has published the eighth issue of its global public blockchain technology rating (GPBTAI). The result: EOS [EOS] it's still the number one.
It is already the eighth time that the CCID published a monthly rating index for the Public Blockchain technology. In the previous months, 33 projects were evaluated. This time, however, the list shows 34 blockchains.
All projects are evaluated on the basis of three criteria; basic technology, application and creativity. The CCID has published this year's ranking for the first time in May, and since then, is updating the list every month.
EOS [EOS] and Ethereum [ETH] maintain their positions at the top, ranking first and second respectively, while Bitcoin rose from 19th place in November to 18th in December
In a CCID comment:
"Public blockchains with high performance and support for general application development are generally ranked high"
This edition, Ontology, made its debut on the CCID list. Launched by the Chinese company Onchain in 2017, Ontology is a public platform that aims to remove the barriers between the blockchain and the business sector.
The CCID commented on the ontological classification:
"Its main network was launched in June 2018. In this assessment, Ontology has outstanding performance in core technology and application, with a composite index of 112.6, ranked fourth on the list."
