Three famous Edmonton restaurants have temporarily closed due to COVID-19 cases in staff members.

The Next Act Pub, MEAT and Pip said they were closing down so that all staff could be tested after two employees tested positive: one at the Pip and one at the MEAT.

MEAT announced it would close earlier in the week, while Pip and Next Act Pub posted their closing on Saturday. Restaurants have also stopped their online ordering services.

“The last time [the staff member] they were working Saturday 7 November for brunch and at the time they were showing no symptoms, “a MEAT statement said.

“We assure you there is little or no risk to anyone who has dined with us in the last period, according to AHS.”

Pip said Saturday it was also closed after a staff member, who last worked on Tuesday, November 10, tested positive. According to the restaurant, the staff member had not experienced any symptoms during the shift.

Although there were no cases in the staff of the Next Act Pub, that restaurant announced that it would also be closed due to the close connection between the three restaurants.

All three are located in the same building connected between 104 Street and 83 Avenue and are managed by a single property.
