Aldi will again offer an annual fee for smartphones at a fixed price in November, this time also in three versions with different data rates. An offer is above all a real deal.

The discount cell phone brand Aldi has apparently been offering since November 19. three annual packages for smartphones. It was reported by the computer blog Caschy. Unlike last time in summer, this time Aldi Talk will offer three versions of the annual package.

Aldi Talk’s annual XS package, the cheapest, offers a fixed SMS and telephone rate to all networks, plus 12 GB of data volume for consumption. Mathematically, this equates to one gigabyte per month, which is quite enough for emails and normal daily browsing. The XS annual package costs € 58.19 once, or € 4.85 per month. Aldi Talk does not currently offer such a low monthly rate.

The next most expensive rate, the Aldi Talk S annual package, costs 96.99 euros: in addition to the flat rate for phone and SMS, users also receive 40 GB of data volume. If you apply it per month, that would be 8.08 euros for 3.3GB of data. Converted to the price per GB, Aldi’s monthly rate package S is more expensive at 3 GB (€ 7.99 minus VAT). The price advantage will be slightly greater as soon as the VAT reduction no longer applies. You should also include in your comparative considerations that the previous month’s data that was not used in the monthly package expires, but not in the yearly package.

The bigger package is the real deal

If you find 3.3 GB of data per month insufficient, you can finally use the Aldi Talk L annual package. In addition to SMS and the telephone flat rate, 100 GB of data volume are also available for 144 euros, which can be divided over the course of the year. That’s 8.3 GB per month, which is more than in Aldi L’s monthly plan package (7 GB). At the same time, the price of the equivalent of 12 euros per month is well below the 17.54 that package L currently costs including VAT reduction.

All Aldi-Talk tariffs use the Telefonica network, the download speed is a maximum of 21.6 Mbit / s, sufficient for all common smartphone applications.
