Decentralized NEO-based exchange lists 19 new Ethereum-based ERC20 tokens

Exchange of decentralized cryptocurrency Switcheo, a non-custodial platform that allows the exchange of tokens based on NEO last week announced the launch of a new feature with the codename Callisto.

Callisto is a feature that allows interoperability between NEOexchange platform and the Ethereum blockchain. After the announcement, Switcheo was able to list more than a dozen ERC-20 tokens on its platform for the first time.

Although Callisto does not fully allow interoperability between the NEO and Ethereum blockchains (ie, cross-chain trading), it is a feature that opens channels for collaboration between the teams in the two communities. According to the announcement last week, the development of this specific feature is underway.

This week, Switcheo released a list of multiple ERC-20 tokens that are supported on the platform, for a total of 19 tokens. The complete list of Token ERC-20 supported on the exchange Switcheo has arrived at 34 couplings with ETH as basic cryptocurrency. The tokens that were added in the last announcement include Holochain (HOT), Kyber Network (KNC), Morpheus Network (MRPH), Zilliqa (ZIL) and more. The complete list can be found on their blog update here.

According to the announcement, deposits for the tokens listed above were opened yesterday, Tuesday, November 27, starting at 11.30am SGT (UTC + 8) while trading was activated 30 minutes later at 12.00pm.

Announcing the update of Callisto last week, Switcheo's CEO Ivan Poon he said that his exchange was designed to allow for interoperability and cross-cutting activity and the launch of Callisto was in step with that vision. He said that Callisto is,

"Both good for the community as it increases security and convenience for the Switcheo user" and that users of Switcheo "Now you can trade on two different blockchains while maintaining ownership of their funds, you will no longer need to create trading accounts on different exchanges, thus reducing the risk of being hacked."

Last week, Switcheo listed some of the major ERC-20 tokens including stable-coin maker (MKR), OmiseGo (OMG), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Eden Coin (EDEN), Fantom (FTM), Metadium (META) and Liquidity Network (LQD).
