TRIBUNKALTIM.CO – On December 14, 2020 there will be a total solar eclipse, this is the best place to see it
The total solar eclipse of 2020 will cross Chile and Argentina in December 2020.
This year we have seen an incredible super moon and a “ring of fire” eclipse, but this total solar eclipse is truly a unique celestial event.
Although the United States will not be able to see the eclipse in person, people in Chile and Argentina will have the opportunity to view this extraordinary event from the lake, hot springs and one of the most active volcanoes in Chile.
Plus, with the ability to watch the eclipse in live streaming, we can all enjoy the wonders of natural phenomena from home.
Starting from Travel and Leisure, Saturday (11/14/2020), to fully see the eclipse, you have to stay on the path of wholeness (the center of the moon’s shadow) which is approximately 56 miles wide.
On December 14, 2020, the path of wholeness will cross the Lake District of Chile and the Northern Patagonia region of Argentina
It will start at 13:00 local time on the west coast of Chile and will end at 13.24 local time on the east coast of Argentina.
The maximum eclipse will occur south of Neuquen, near the Sierra Colorada, and will last 130 seconds.
In many ways, this eclipse will be similar to the 2017 eclipse in the United States dubbed the “Great American Eclipse”.
