Dacia Lodgy and Dacia Loagn MCV will leave the scene. In their place, in the portfolio of the Romanian manufacturer, a new seven-seater model will appear.

Dacia Logan MCV will no longer be produced at the Mioveni plant. The decision is the effect produced by the small sales figures, passed into the account of the Romanian model. “The latest Logan MCV models will be produced next week,” Dacia representatives announced, according to Mediafax.

“We are already working on intelligent development solutions, which will make the next generation of this type of vehicle different from the previous one,” is the unclear explanation offered by the company representatives. From here we understand that Logan MCV would still receive a new generation.

What do we know, so far, about the future seven-seater Dacia?

The news comes a few months after the idea of a seven-seater model had circulated in the French press. for this, Dacia will give up the minivan body, which is gradually losing ground. The future model will choose the SUV body solution and will measure approximately 4.5 meters in length. The French also take into account an adventurous design.

Known internally as the RJI code, the future seven-seater Dacia will be built on the same platform as the new Logan and Sandero, CMF-B. Thus, the model could also take delivery of top-of-the-range engines. There’s a good chance a seven-seater SUV will also get the 1.33-liter turbo engine, featured in the Duster range.

Sandero will no longer be built in Mioveni, but only in the Stepway version. Dacia Sandero will be produced exclusively at Dacia factories in Morocco. About 1300 units are produced daily by Dacia. In the same period last year, production was 1,400 cars per day.
