Cryptographic markets see modest gains, bitcoin increases above $ 3,400

Wednesday, December 12: cryptocurrency markets have seen moderate gains on the day, with all the top 20 coins by market capitalization in the green, according to Cointelegraph's Coin360.

Bitcoin (BTC) started the day at around $ 3,414, then reaching its intraday peak of $ 3,534. At the time of printing, the main currency traded at $ 3,499, up 2.21 percent in the last 24 hours.

Today, Cointelegraph reported that the R & D laboratory at the startup Crypto TenX has tested the use of its cross-blockchain interoperability protocol to exchange ERC-20 tokens. The goal was to exchange tokens – which run on the Ethereum platform (ETH) but are not strictly "natives" because they rely on invoking an intelligent contract to transfer ownership – for the smallest transportable unit of Bitcoin, known as "Satoshi", using the Lightning Network Protocol of second-level scalability.

The second largest Cryptocurrency Ripple (XRP) recorded a recovery and currently trades at $ 0.308 at the time of printing, an increase of 2.36% on the day. On its weekly chart, the currency fell by more than 9%, while its lowest price point was about $ 0.29 on 7 December.

Bitcoin SV (BSV), after having undergone a massive increase after Bitcoin Cash (BCH), saw a drop of more than 6 percent yesterday, December 11th. Today the altcoin moves sideways and is neither up nor down in the last 24 hours. BSV is trading at 90.14 at the time of printing, according to CoinMarketCap.

Yesterday, the exchange of cryptocurrency based in Malta, OKEx announced that it will list Bitcoin Cash ABC under the original Bitcoin Cash BCO ticker. The Bitcoin Cash SV ticker from BCHSV to BSV will also change.

BCH also saw some gains on the last day, up 1.8%. The altcoin is trading around $ 103 at the time of printing.

On its weekly overview, BCH has suffered considerable losses, almost 23%. The highest currency price during the week was $ 133.37 on December 6th, and subsequently fell to a low of $ 97.80.
