Tron (TRX) will soon adopt the same privacy features that power the Zcash peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, says founder and CEO Justin Sun.
In a new interview on Bad Crypto Podcast, Sun states that privacy is an important feature that will be added to the Tron network at the start of next year. Updates will allow users to decide if they want to be anonymous for a given transaction.
"I think privacy is also important for the network, which is why I think that next year, Q1, we will adopt the zk-SNARKs in our network, so try to find out zero in our network.
This is how we can improve the privacy of the entire network. So in the future, if you want to have private transactions and a private address, we can also make sure that nobody – if you use the address – that no one can see you. The transaction can be untraceable. We offer a different solution and, depending on your preferences, you can choose the different one. "
The zero knowledge test is essentially a mathematical method to prove that a transaction is valid without having to disclose crucial data about that transaction.
According to Sun, the new feature will be officially presented in an updated roadmap that will be released by the end of the year.
