Bitcoin (BTC)

The front page of the Finance section of the Wall Street Journal presents an old-fashioned billionaire who launches a Bitcoin in the air. The article tracks where investors with large sums are betting, including billionaires Mike Novogratz and Steven A. Cohen who are investing in Bitcoin companies.

Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum has partnered with Minds + Machines Group Limited (MMX) to make it easier for people to transfer Ether. The partnership will allow users to register their Ether addresses under the .luxe domain registry.

This means that Ether could be sent to wallet addresses with names like "" instead of long alphanumeric strings that no one can remember or pronounce.


The EOS hackathon is underway in Sydney. It is one of five events worldwide that will give away $ 1.5 million in rewards to ethical hackers who find bugs in the platform.

Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash

Instacoin has added Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Dash to its network of ATMs. The company currently has more than 90 cryptocurrency ATMs across Canada.

The company says other altcoins including Ethereum, Zcash and Monero will be added in the near future.

Stellar (XLM)

Smartlands says it has launched the first voting system on the Stellar network. The system is designed to allow people to vote on multiple topics simultaneously, in a truly decentralized way.
