C.Colleagues paid tribute to a “kindhearted” clinical psychologist who died after contracting Covid-19, reports the BBC.
Dr. Kalli Mantala-Bozos, 50, who has four children, worked at the Laura Mitchell Health and Wellbeing Center in Halifax, Calderdale, and died on November 26.
Dr. Mantala-Bozos, who was also a well-known figure in the Greek Orthodox community in Leeds, was part of the core of the Calderdale mental health team and a member of his bereavement development group.
It has also helped develop and provide palliative care support as well as bereavement education and training.
“Kalli was a genuine and kindhearted person who took the time to build relationships, bring a smile to the faces of others and who put all of herself into her clinical work while being family oriented and a cornerstone of her community” a colleague said.
Rob Webster, the trust’s chief executive, said, “He has spent his life helping people in their time of need, both on and off the job, and the loss to the communities in which he lived and served will be deeply felt.
“Kalli was an inspiration and we will all miss her very much.”
A charitable fundraising campaign initiated by the Leeds Greek Orthodox Community in his memory raised £ 9,600 in one week.
The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust said a therapy room would be dedicated to his memory.
