The Windsor County Essex Health Unit reported 38 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Of these, 23 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, five are community-acquired, three are local health workers, one is related to a trip to Michigan, and six are still under investigation.
This brings the total of confirmed cases in the region to 3,248. There are currently outbreaks in four long-term nursing or retirement homes, one workplace and two schools.
