Alberta once again breaks COVID-19 records with 1,854 new cases; one in 70 Albertans has had the virus
Thursday marked another record day in Alberta’s COVID-19 pandemic.
The province has set a number of sobering records, including reporting 1,854 new cases, more than 100 more cases than the previous record, set earlier this week.
These new cases came from less than 20,000 tests, equivalent to a positive rate of 9.4%. It is the highest positivity rate ever recorded by Alberta, indicating that record levels of infections are not the result of increased test volume.
