CALGARY – More than 20 new active cases of COVID-19 have been found in grocery store and pharmacy workers in southern Alberta since November 30.
The details come in an update from Loblaw Companies Ltd., Sobeys Inc., and Calgary Co-op.
All three companies actively monitored positive COVID-19 cases in their employees and released that information online for customers to take precautions.
Since November 30, Sobeys has reported two new cases, Co-op has reported five new cases while Loblaw says 15 employees in its stores in southern Alberta have contracted the disease:

A Real Canadian Superstore employee (20 Heritage Meadows Way SE, Calgary) tested positive on December 2 (last job on November 26);

Three employees of the Real Canadian Superstore (3575 20 Ave. NE, Calgary) tested positive on December 2 (last job November 19, 21 and 27);

Three employees of the Real Canadian Superstore (10505 Southport Rd. SW, Calgary) tested positive on December 1 (last job November 20 and 21);

An employee of the Shoppers Drug Mart (401 Coopers Blvd. SW, Airdrie, Alta.) Tested positive on December 1 (last job November 21);

Two employees of the Real Canadian Superstore (7020 Fourth St. NW, Calgary) tested positive on November 30 (the last one worked November 20 and 22);

Two employees of the Real Canadian Superstore (4700 130 Ave. SE, Calgary) tested positive on November 30 (last job November 19 and 25);

Three employees of the Real Canadian Superstore (540 Third St. SE, Calgary) tested positive on November 30 (last job November 20, 25 and 26).

A Safeway employee (550 Cassils Rd. West, Brooks, Alta.) Tested positive on November 30 (last job December 1).

An employee of the Beddington Food Center in northeastern Calgary tested positive on November 30 (last job on November 27);

An employee of the Monterey Food Center in northeastern Calgary tested positive on November 30 (last job on November 22);

An employee of the Hamptons Food Center in northwest Calgary tested positive on November 30 (last job on November 19);

An employee of the Auburn Bay Food Center in southeastern Calgary tested positive on November 30 (last job on November 23);
-
An employee of the Shawnessy Food Center in southeastern Calgary tested positive on November 30 (last job on November 23).
The companies say they are continuing to work with public health officials, also providing details to trace contacts whenever possible.
Online information includes all positive cases found in stores in the past 15 days.
