Capitals: Immediately after announcing “good news” regarding coronavirus vaccine experiments, Arab countries were quick to reveal their plans to get it.

With relentless efforts, Arab governments are racing against time to provide vaccines, amid the expectation of their people and global fears of fiercer waves, as 14 countries have announced they are about to buy it.

And last week, Pfizer and its German partner, BioNTech, announced the candidate vaccine is 95% effective, confirming production of 50 million doses this year.

Days later, the American company Moderna said the vaccine’s initial results “proved 94.5% effective,” revealing plans to produce 20 million doses this year.

In this context, Anatolia monitored 14 Arab countries announcing the dates for the reception of the anti-Coronavirus vaccines.

*Qatar

The Ministry of Health has announced that the first batch of the vaccine will arrive at the end of this year, and then the remaining (unspecified) quantity will arrive in stages, reaching the largest part during the first half of 2021.

* Saudi

The Cabinet confirmed that the Kingdom will be one of the first countries to receive the Corona vaccine, while the Ministry of Health’s Deputy Undersecretary for Health Prevention, Abdullah Asiri, said that his country aspires to provide the vaccine against the virus. by the end of 2020.

* Kuwait

The Ministry of Health has announced that it will arrive in the country by the end of this year and that the authorities will assign an electronic link to citizens to book the dates to receive it.

* the two seas

The Undersecretary of the Bahraini Ministry of Health, Walid Al-Manea, said that his country will be one of the first to provide the vaccine against the Corona virus, without specifying a date.

* Sultanate of Oman

The Sultanate’s Undersecretary of Health for Health Affairs, Muhammad bin Saif Al Hosani, confirmed that his country is looking to obtain 20% of the Corona vaccine by the end of this year.

* UAE

The first vice president of shipments of the Emirate company, Nabil Sultan, expects the first shipments to arrive in mid-December.

* Morocco, west, sunset

Said Mutawakkil, a member of the scientific and technical committee of the Moroccan Ministry of Health, explained that the Corona vaccine will arrive in his country next December.

* Algeria

A member of the Scientific Committee for Monitoring and Follow-up of the Pandemic Crown, Elias Akhamok, said that the first batch of vaccines will arrive in his country during the first three months of 2021.

* Lebanon

The Minister of Public Health in the interim government, Hamad Hassan, said that the Corona vaccine will arrive in Lebanon during the first quarter of 2021, no later than the end of next March.

* Jordan

Jordanian health minister Nazir Obeidat announced that the vaccine will be available in the country during the first quarter of 2021.

* Iraq

World Health Organization representative in Iraq, Adham Ismail, revealed that the Corona vaccine will not be available until June 2021.

* Tunisia

Tunisian Health Minister Faouzi Al Mahdi said the vaccine will arrive between May and June 2012.

* Egypt

Presidential spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said the vaccines will not be ready in his country until the middle of next year.

UNICEF of the United Nations has announced that it will distribute approximately two billion doses of vaccines to poor countries, including Yemen, in early 2021.

Countries did not disclose whether they would obtain the vaccine from pharmaceutical companies “Pfizer” and “Moderna”, or from other companies that announced the effectiveness of their trials, but they did not disclose the production of doses for the market.

So far Arab countries such as Libya, Syria, Sudan, Mauritania, Palestine, Somalia, Comoros and Djibouti have not yet announced the arrival date of the vaccines.
