The most popular US cryptocurrency exchange continues to promise to support Ethereum's ERC20 tokens, adding four more coins to the Coinbase Pro platform.
Starting today, December 7th, Coinbase Pro users can transfer their Civic (CVC), district0x (DNT), Loom Network (LOOM) and Decentraland (MANA) balances to trading, and full trading will start in approximately 48 hours from today. The announcement of Coinbase confirms:
"Once sufficient liquidity has been established, trading will begin on each USDC order portfolio and trading will initially be accessible to Coinbase Pro users in the United States (excluding NY), the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, Singapore and Australia."
There are four stages of launch for each token. Starting from the acceptance of the transfers in the platform, then "post-only" will allow the publication of limit orders for a short period, before the limit orders will start to correspond. After this point, complete trading will be available. The Coinbase Pro Twitter account will be updated at each stage.

For the time being, the four coins will only be available on the Coinbase Pro platform for advanced trading and not on the standard brokerage platform on Coinbase.com or within the company's mobile applications. Both services, Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, are free for registration, but trading fees vary. The availability of new currencies for several countries could also be added later.
Coinbase plans to list even more ERC20 tokens "over time" and reveals:
"We are exploring the addition of many new resources beyond the ERC20 token over a jurisdiction by jurisdiction."
The ERC20 tokens, says Coinbase, easily integrate with its existing infrastructure "in particular from a security point of view", but the exchange recognizes that there are other popular currencies that it still has to support.
The ERC20 token 0x (ZRX) and the Coinbase stablecoin USDC (USD currency) were added by the platform in October 2018, followed by the Brave Browser Basic Attention Token (BAT) at the beginning of November. With the addition of four more coins now in December, Coinbase is providing its ERC20 support plans announced in March 2018, and other additions seem likely to follow.
