Car sales increased by 76.3% in Turkey! Those vehicles were favorites: the right address for financial news

Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), according to the car and light commercial vehicle market in Turkey, in 2020 588,000 354 units were made at 10 months last year, up 78.1% over the same period.

At the end of October, cars with automatic gearboxes had a share of 69.9 percent with 324,000 825 units, while the share of cars with manual gearboxes was 30.1 percent with 140,000 206 units.

7 out of 10 cars sold in the ten months of the year were registered as automatic transmissions.

In January-October last year, the share of automatic transmission cars in the total market was 68.6 percent, and the number of sales was 184,000 218.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OF ALL SEGMENTS E AND F.

By segment, the ultra-luxury segment (F) and the luxury segment (E) had the highest share in its segment with 100%.

These segments are the upper and middle (D) segment with 99.8 percent, the A segment known as the smallest city cars with 93 percent, the C segment, called compact class or lower middle class with 68.8 percent and 56.2 percent. followed by segment B, also known as the small vehicle class.

THE CARS IN SEGMENT C HAVE RECEIVED THE HIGHEST SHARE OF THE MARKET

On the other hand, at the end of October, cars of segments A, B and C with low rates represented 87.5 percent of the market. Cars in segment C had a share of 63.3% with 294,338 units and cars in segment B had a share of 23.7% with 110,555 units.

When assessed by body type, the most preferred body type was sedans with a share of 43.7%.
Sedans were followed by SUVs with 29.6 percent and sedans with 23.6 percent.
