Cairo, Thursday, witnessed an Arab academic and social science academy, presented Prince Abdul Aziz bin Talal, president of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, with the prize of King Abdul Aziz for scientific research on the problems of childhood and development, and stated that "Empowering the Arab child in an era Fourth industrial revolution" is the theme of the second session of the award.

Prince Abdul Aziz bin Talal, in his speech at the ceremony, expressed his happiness to meet this constellation in the land of Kenana under the umbrella of the House of the Arab child to celebrate the awarding of prizes to the winners of the first session of the King Abdul Aziz Research Award in the field of childhood and development, stressing that the research award He founded the Foundation and chose his late father, Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, founder of the Council, recognizing the # Importance of scientific research, particularly in the field of childhood and development, since the scientific method is the real way to explore reality and identify gaps and put roads to treatment, to achieve real and sustainable development Our goal.

He emphasized that the award aims to deepen the culture of children's rights by enriching scientific research in the field of childhood development in order to achieve participation in community development, in order to achieve social protection and the protection of children's rights in the Arab world, including the right to participate and citizenship, and encourage creative researchers and motivate them to give research field related to the problems of childhood and development.

Prince Abdul Aziz stressed that the choice of the topic of the first round of the "Raising on Citizenship" award did not come from nothing, since the results of some studies indicate that one of the most important problems facing Arab societies is build citizenship in its contemporary concept based on human rights.

The Council asked, in line with the experience accumulated in the various practical and intellectual traces, and to reach a strategic direction to study the reality of the Arab educational and cultural model in the field of the acquisition of citizenship values, and work on the application of the model of "increasing hope" for the education of the child, in order to develop the child's awareness and awaken his creative self, and release his creative energies Creative humanity , asserting its rights, affirming its protection and developing its capacities, to participate in the achievement of a positive and informed citizenship.

He stressed that the first round of the award led to results of scientific and practical implications, in which more than 87 research presented by 108 researchers from 11 Arab countries, reflecting the interest of the Arabs for this important problem, and have helped to enrich the Arab library with a series of research that addressed the problems New dimensions and approaches in the sectors of education and citizenship, emphasizing that success in the selection not only of winning research, but in this award of the scientific movement and social towards one of the most important issues of education, which is one of the main pillars of citizenship.

In his speech, the President of the Council announced that he had communicated the results of the first session of the Award and stressed the role of the Council in supporting and stimulating research work in the field of childhood and development and in maximizing dialogue Community on issues of importance and development of children and to complement the path of his father, Prince Talal, founder of the Council, We announce today the launch of the second round of the award to be the theme of "Empowering the Arab Child in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution ". Prince Abdulaziz stressed that the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, in collaboration with a number of partners, began working on this issue from the beginning of last year (2018) and held more than a scientific meeting with a number of experts and concluded that the emancipation of the Arab child should be addressed This revolution is inevitable in the context of the education of the Arab child.
