MANILA – Humanitarian agencies can better follow the distribution of their funds using a crowdfunding platform that uses blockchain technology, said one of its suppliers on Monday.
Traxion will soon launch the platform, said its CEO, Anna Cuisia.
"This time, there will be more choice, transparency and accountability for the donations we are putting in the field," Cuisia told ANC's Early Edition.
Apart from mobile portfolios, money transfers and crowdfunding, the blockchain can also be used by the government to protect data included in the national ID system and even during the elections, said Cuisia.
"We should consider this as a form of transparency and everyone's responsibility in the ecosystem," he said.
