Celer Network, the blockchain scalability platform announced today that it has been selected to be one of the last 22 teams that will join the latest 500 Startups accelerator batch in San Francisco. As a leading venture capital company, 500 Startups has over 2000 companies in over 60 countries.
The four-month acceleration program includes a mix of industries, from cryptocurrency, to digital health, to e-commerce. Celer Network will join the Blockchain Track with the goal of accelerating growth and contributing to the development of the global blockchain ecosystem.
Founded by four Ph.D. graduates from MIT, UC Berkeley, UIUC and Princeton, Celer Network is the off-scale scalability solution (level 2) for blockchain scalability, working with high-profile partners such as L4 Ventures (funded by Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik personally) and DFINITY. Celer Network functions as an "operating system" that can run on different blockchains to provide a highly scalable, private and secure off-chain platform app. Since coming out of the scene at the beginning of 2018, Celer is growing rapidly towards the vision of the adoption of blockchain mass.
The launch of Centauri Testnet at the beginning of October achieved a significant positive response in the blockchain sector. Meanwhile, Celer Network's cWallet (Alpha version) serves as a gateway to the Celer Network (testnet from now on), where users will enter a new world of off-the-shelf applications that are more than 3,000 times faster than applications on chain.
"Despite all the hype we saw last year, the significant adoption of blockchain is still lagging behind us, and we believe that Level 2 solutions will be a key to unlocking the true potential of blockchain technology. Level 2, the deep technical experience of the Celer Network team and the focus on laser delivery on products are exactly what the blockchain industry needs ".
