About Concordium
For those of our readers who may not know about Concordium, it is a blockchain initiative founded by former CEO of Saxo Bank Lars Seier Christensen.
At its core, the project was designed to "combine an integrated anti-money laundering module (AML) with a KYC function that includes zero knowledge encryption." Not only that, but also the platform has been designed in such a way as to be fully compliant with the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR).
The beta mainnet of Concordium is scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2019, while the final product will be available from 2020.
More on The Matter
Although the Concord appears to have been a little late to participate in the crypto-party, Christensen recently stated that:
"As the first engine with a strong concentration and expertise in this sector (ID / KYC), we are not late, but actually among the first to the real game, one that has not started yet, because the first generations of blockchains and cryptocurrencies do not reach a real business use despite all the clamor "
He added
"So the next one was starting now and this will be the moment when the true potential of public blockchain will finally begin to develop."
Final take
In closing, it should be remembered that a couple of weeks ago Jochumsen spoke with a global media outlet in which he mentioned that he was also in talks with the fintech company of New York "Alkymi", in order to act as lead advisor of the company.
Last but not least, Jochumsen currently also works as chairman of Nordax Bank AB and also acts as "non-executive director" for Nykredit A / S.
