WORBLI has recently launched its blockchain and its user portal. The project seeks to build the underlying infrastructure for an efficient, honest and accessible financial system. They are forming a useful bridge between traditional fintech and blockchain technology.
WORBLI Portal and Blockchain Go Live
WORBLI announced the launch of its portal and blockchain through a blog post on the project's Medium Account. An excerpt from the announcement reads:
We are extremely proud of the support we have received from our block makers, our strategic partners and, above all, our community which has allowed us to become stronger and stronger over the last 11 months.
A few weeks before the announcement, the project stated that the blockchain was live. With the inbound portal, eligible users can now request their shared token of the WORBLI token (WBI).
The next step for the project is to enable multi-wallet support for WBI tokens. This will allow users to exchange WBI tokens freely.
WORBLI project
For both individuals and legal entities, the adoption of blockchain technology can be a difficult task. From the lack of technical knowledge to the scarcity of scalable solutions, the adoption of emerging technology seems like a demanding undertaking.
WORBLI is developing an affordable and intuitive blockchain platform with KYC integration for both consumer and business applications. The main goal is to simplify the process of adopting and using distributed general accounting technology for both developers and everyday users. One of WORBLI's aspirations is to offer end-users around the world basic financial services that many of us today take for granted, with a globally compliant and regulated framework.
WORBLI is its blockchain with its native WBI token, which has incredibly low transaction costs. Developers will be able to create a wide range of financial applications on the WORBLI blockchain using the WBI token.
As part of its goal to enable opportunities in the global financial services ecosystem, the WORBLI network will also offer a unique digital currency exchange, insurance products, personal banking services, payroll, remittances and more. These products and applications are designed to allow a new wave of financial services for any industry.
The WORBLI ecosystem is an incarnation of the broader blockchain technology sector with developers, consumers, governance, compliance and security experts, etc. All these entities interact with each other to create a truly improved and easily accessible financial system.
Block producers
At the center of the project are the Block Producers that operate, feed and expand the entire network. WORBLI block manufacturers protect the network through computing power that helps make the WORBLI blockchain work.
According to the project white paper, WORBLI launched with 21 Block Producers. In a recent post on Medium, it has been revealed that there are now more than 30 Block Producers spread all over the world. There are plans to add other block producers from the project's waiting list. Unlike the EOS mainnet in which Block Producers are voted by EOS token holders, Block Producers for WORBLI have been determined by the WORBLI Foundation. In the end, contracts are strategic partners that get the same benefits.
Sale of WBI tokens on ChainRift
In addition to the portal and blockchain, WBI tokens are also for sale on ChainRift, a cryptocurrency exchange platform. WORBLI announced in a post media that states that the sale of tokens is a partnership between the WORBLI Foundation (which manages the project) and ChainRift.
A part of the ad says:
To meet this demand and celebrate our launch and results so far, we have decided to hold a token sale with the help of one of our block manufacturers, ChainRift EOS. Through their ChainRift exchange, this sale will take place within a few days, when we expect to offer 70 million of our native WBI tokens.
The sale began in mid-November and allows potential users to acquire WBI tokens in the initial phase of the project, paired with EOS and BTC.
