Bitcoin started 2018 valued at £ 10,603 ($ 13,422) having started to fall from its all-time high. The price of BTC has collapsed, dragging with it most of the encrypted market. Bitcoin is currently valued at £ 3,036 ($ 3,844) at 13:00 GMT on Saturday, December 22nd.
The founder of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Calvin Ayre believes that the crypt overturns the market capitalization of BTC, making it all but useless.
The billionaire said: "I am afraid to predict that it goes to zero value because it has no use, does nothing and intentionally are bit-in anti-scaling, technology and economic model are alive and well with Bitcoin Satoshi Vision and will have a year fantastic. "
Another bitcoin pessimist, Nouriel Roubini, went even further in June, saying: "Blockchain is the most over-exploited and least useful technology in human history.
"No class of resources in human history has ever experienced such a rapid boom and total collapse and implosion."

In terms of certain predictions, Roubini states that "in due course" the Bitcoin will be worth "close to zero".
Some industry experts are more optimistic about the perspectives of cryptocurrency.
Mike Novogratz, CEO and founder of Galaxy Digital, recently said that the price of Bitcoin will reach its all-time high before the end of 2019.
It joins this confident attitude of Sonny Singh, BitPay's Chief Creative Officer, who believes that BTC will exceed its previous limit of $ 20,000 within the next 12 months.

And even more optimistic are the managers of Fundstrat, Tom Lee and Sam Doctor, who said they saw a price of £ 28,440 ($ 36,000) is realistic to expect in 2019.
This significant price increase will require huge capital inflows, which are becoming more and more realistic due to the launch of various trading branches, as well as crypto-custody solutions.
David Thomas, director of digital asset brokerage at GlobalBlock, recently discussed why institutions are reluctant to take positions in the crypt.
Mr. Thomas said: "If we look at the previous trends, it takes about 67 weeks on average for Bitcoin to recover and continue with new historical highs.

"If you follow this logic, the bitcoin would go to US $ 20,000 in the second quarter of 2019."
But Mr. Thomas does not believe this to happen this time because of the "base of injured investors after this year.
So he slowed down his 2019 announcement, saying: "With positive news, ETF (performance tracker) and regulation, we believe that the bitcoin will recover from $ 8,000 to $ 10,000 during 2019, the date on which today would be balanced year."
