Bitcoin has had its second serious accident this year, and its current price is only a minimal part of the historic high of this year. While many investors expected the end of 2018 to bring the end of the bear market and allow BTC to reach new milestones, it does not seem likely that it will. Even so, investors continue to look to the future, only slightly annoyed by the current drawback.

Many of them remain convinced that this is not the end of Bitcoin, and that it will increase again, just as it has done every time in the last 10 years. With this in mind, many are wondering what to expect in the next year or two? Predicting the price is never easy or precise, and the more we go forward in the future, the less precise these predictions may be.

Even so, 2020 is seen by many as a great and important year, the end of the second decade of the 21st century, which is why many are interested in the opinions of experts what it could mean by encryption. This is why we have gathered the best-made hypotheses of some of the biggest names in cryptography, finance and technology.

1. Tom Lee

Tom Lee leads the research and co-founder of a cryptographic research company called Fundstrat Global Advisors. According to his previous forecasts, he said that Bitcoin will reach $ 25,000 by the end of 2018. Of course, this was before the bear market and the second market crash of this year caused all this damage.

His subsequent predictions stated that BTC can still hit at least $ 15,000 per currency by the end of the year. Lee also had numerous live TV appearances where he discussed Bitcoin and its price. He also talked about creating an index able to track the price of Bitcoin. Overall, Lee is one of the most respected figures in the cryptography industry, which is why his opinion is held in high regard. As for his thoughts on Bitcoin in 2020, an analysis of the chart based on the price movement of BTC over the course of its history had convinced him that BTC would reach the value of $ 91,000.

2. John McAfee

John McAfee is a name known all over the world, mainly for its McAfee antivirus, however, in recent years, it has also been involved in the cryptography industry. His interesting background and unexpected price forecasts have brought him to the attention of the whole community, and he used it to make a profit by promoting ICOs. It also revealed that it charges over $ 100,000 for price forecasts and that many cryptographic projects are more than willing to pay this price to get them.

Its price forecasts have often been stretched as much as possible, which is last year's forecast that BTC will reach $ 500,000 per coin in 2020. Despite the fact that many saw this prediction as unlikely even then, it has recently moved further, stating who expects Bitcoin to reach $ 1 million per currency.

Naturally, these predictions are not just assumptions, and based them on a special price model that he created himself. The same price model predicted that BTC will reach $ 5,000 by the end of 2017. By the time it made this prediction, such a venture seemed impossible. As we know now, BTC has grown four times that size.

Of course, this would also mean that the total market capitalization would skyrocket, probably reaching $ 15 trillion.

Of course, some of his predictions were wrong even in the opposite. One of these included the expectation that BTC would return at its price of $ 15,000 per currency in June 2018, which clearly did not happen. For this reason, most people are now taking their words with a grain of salt. However. McAfee remains one of the biggest BTC bulls out there, and there is no doubt that many investors would like its forecasts to come true.

3. Fran Strajnar

Strajnar is a CEO of Brave New Coin and has predicted that Bitcoin can easily reach $ 200,000 by 2020. The reason for this is a rapid rate of adoption of currency number one, as well as its altcoins. Strajnar says more and more users are developing an interest in BTC, which means the network is growing. Additional wallets are always created, and the same applies to various apps and dApps. Strajnar expects this to continue and that the increase in use will ultimately lead BTC to a much higher value.

4. Osato Avan-Nomayo

Osato Avan Nomayo is a well-known Bitcoin analyst who predicted that the mining reward will fall to 6.25 BTC by 2020. Bitcoin mining premiums are known to be halved when a number of blocks have been mined, and this is already success twice so far. The first break occurred in 2012, when BTC premiums fell from 50 BTC to 25 BTC. Then, in 2016, the same happened again, and the BTC awards went from 25 coins to only 12.5, which is the amount of BTC miners receive today.

Now, Osato believes that 2020 will be the time when the next halving will occur, as it seems to happen after every four years. However, after each halving, the prices of BTC have increased, and while Osato has never given a specific forecast, the price that the analyst expects is higher than $ 20,000.
