Ethereum mastermind Vitalik Buterin fired the first except Bitcoin SV, branding the project as "a dumpster fire". The Russian-born programmer, who now lives in Canada, hits the people behind Bitcoin SV (Satoshi Vision) after being asked about bitcoin's involvement in the Lightning Network. "I have my disagreements with the bitcoin roadmap, proof of work, etc., but they're trying to do something that's genuinely cool tech," answered the 24-year-old before bizarrely turning his ire to Bitcoin SV by adding: "BSV is a pure dumpster fire. "
His 'dumpster fire' comments have now prompted a stern rebuke from one of the leading figures behind Bitcoin SV – Dr Craig S Wright.
He told Express.co.uk: "I do not follow ETH or Vitalik – they have added nothing, they understand nothing of bitcoins, can not grasp POW (proof of work) and have a retrograde bitcoin mutant.
"I know, no, I do not follow anything he does."
Mr. Buterin. Calvin Ayre, one of the founders of Bitcoin Cash two years ago, and the driving force behind.
The Canadian billionaire said: "Problems with Ethereum are well documented online.
"Vitalik should spend his time fixing these challenges and stop lying about the abilities of other people and their technology.
"This is not a good look for him."
The people behind Ethereum and BSV have been involved in various spats throughout the time.
The two cryptocurrencies have spent much of their existence vying for the number two spots as the main alternative to bitcoin.
And while both have enjoyed a degree of success, it is Ethereum which has been much more than the public favor.
The recent volatility of bitcoins has reignited the war of words.
The age-old original digital currency struggles to rebuild from recent losses, Ethereum and a host of other challengers to the crypto crown are beginning to smell blood.
Bitcoin's newest troubles began the day after the bitter Bitcoin Cash hard fork which saw the creation of Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV – a move which Calvin Ayre continued to be a deliberate ploy to destabilise bitcoin.
