Beyond the meat

In recent years, the scientific and technological community has been producing vegetable meat in the hope of reducing the amount of meat consumed by humans, thus protecting the environment. However, everyone’s search for food is not just about ideas, but also about taste and nutrition. After successfully partnering with McDonald’s to launch a plant-based hamburger, Beyond Meat has launched two new plant-based meat products, one with “more gravy” and the other with two more nutritious vegetable meats. Both may contain less saturated fat than traditional 80/20 burgers (80% meat, 20% fat), which are 35% and 55% less, respectively.

Additionally, the two plant-based burgers will contain similar levels of vitamin B and minerals than the meat and will have fewer calories and fat. Beyond Meat points out that the new meat burger will have the same “flavor combination”.

With the two elements “better taste” and “healthier”, I believe there will be more reasons for consumers to choose plant-based burgers. At the same time, this new product also allows Beyond Meat to be more competitive in a market with many rivals, especially with the rapid development of Impossible Foods. Beyond Meat said the new product will be on shelves in the United States in early 2021 and there will also be tasting activities.
