Having closely followed the cryptocurrency markets, we can not see any value in accepting these digital currencies and feeling that the risk far exceeds the reward. Therefore we have ceased plans to accept any form of cryptocurrency as a method of payment.

Because of the growing uncertainty surrounding Bitcoin's long-term future, the application of live video streaming, Chatspin, has abandoned plans to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment. The decision comes on the heels of significant losses in the value of Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies during the fourth quarter of 2018, with many analysts uncertain about a recovery in the short and medium future.
The multi-platform app had previously invested heavily in upgrading its payment platform to accept Bitcoin, Litecoin and other forms of cryptocurrency for users wishing to access premium features. The decision to implement cryptocurrency as a form of payment was made due to the increase in popularity of the digital currency when making online payments before 2018, but Chatspin's directors now believe it is too risky to accept a payment method so unstable and have completely abandoned the idea.
"Just a few months ago, the idea of accepting Bitcoin, Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies as forms of payment seemed like child's play," said Chatspin Press Manager, Shay Robin, "But, having closely followed the cryptocurrency markets , we can see no value in accepting these digital currencies and feeling that the risk far exceeds the reward, so we have ceased plans to accept any form of cryptocurrency as a payment method. "
Chatspin has recently become the first platform to launch AR face filters on desktops, creating a seamless experience for users on all devices. While the filters are completely free, there are some premium filters available for users who sign up for the streaming video community. But, for now, subscribers will have to continue paying with less risky methods such as credit / debit cards for their premium service.
