According to Apple, using Apple Pay can be easier than using a physical card and even more secure. With cards stored in the Wallet application, the user can easily use the service to make secure payments. This payment method can be used in shops, transport, applications and on websites that support the service.

How to use Apple Pay with a Caixa Geral de Depósitos card?

To associate a card just open the Wallet app, click on the + button and follow the steps indicated. After pairing a card with the device (iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac) the service is ready to be used (in any establishment that accepts Apple Pay) and the customer retains all the benefits of using his card.

Add a credit or debit card to the Apple Pay app

To get started, open the Wallet app and then press the + button. You may need to sign in with your Apple ID.

In the configuration we made, we noticed that Caixa Geral de Depósitos is not yet listed as an entity. In this sense, we manually enter the card data or we can scan it.

Then follow the steps to authenticate the service at Caixa Geral de Depósitos. You can also add the card to your Apple Watch. You can see here all the steps required for setup.

This Apple service uses a specific number, so the original debit, credit, or prepaid card number is not stored on your device or Apple servers. All data is encrypted and goes through an authentication process that gives maximum security to this payment method.

All information on Apple's payment service is available on Caixa's digital channels or here.
