Stations of the National Seismic Network of the National Institute for Astronomical Research in Egypt announced this Saturday evening that an earthquake had occurred in the eastern part of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
According to the “seventh day” website, the institute said in a statement from the institute that the quake was detected today, Saturday, November 14, 2020.
The statement added that “the time of the earthquake was 16:25 local time, with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale.”
He noted that the earthquake “occurred at latitude 30.14 north, longitude 31.6 east”.
The statement also points out that the earthquake caused no loss or damage, noting that the National Seismic Network is working 24 hours a day to monitor, record and analyze any earthquakes we may be exposed to through its stations scattered across the governorates.
