Ahmed Samir is the head of consumer protection experts in the Arab world

Today, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the work of the eighth meeting of experts and specialists in the field of consumer protection began
With the participation of 18 Arab countries, with the aim of underlining the importance of the consumer protection file within the system of joint Arab action, considering it one of the important pillars for the realization of the common Arab market.
The meeting saw the election of Dr Ahmed Samir Farag, head of the Consumer Protection Agency in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as head of the Arab Consumer Protection Team for one year, and who gave a speech where he welcomed experts and specialists in the field of consumer protection. Emphasizing the importance of Arab cooperation in the field of consumer protection as one of the pillars to achieve a unified framework for consumer protection in Arab countries and to establish early warning among Arab countries as the first line of defense to protect against cross-border products harmful to health and safety

The Arab consumer, as well as technical and knowledge cooperation as one of the means to support the common Arab market.
Dr Samir pointed out that the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency had compiled all Arab laws in the field of consumer protection in one volume and presented it to the committee as a core to formulate the unified framework that is currently under discussion in preparation for approval in the next session. He expressed hope that the current session will assist his leadership in implementing all of the plans targeted by the committee, in a way that would benefit the Arab economies and the Arab consumer.
