The trial took place in July at the Royal Court of Justice in London and lasted 16 days.

Johnny Depp is suing Heard in a separate case in the United States, in connection with a Washington Post op-ed, claiming the article suggests he was abusive towards his ex-wife.

The British judge noted that “we found that the vast majority of Mr Depp’s assault charges against Ms. Heard proved to be in line with civilian standards.”

During the trial, evidence was presented by Depp and Amber Heard, overheard, and from friends and relatives of the former couple, as well as former and current employees.
