The activities of the Luxor Festival for Arab Poetry, the fourth session, will begin in the city of Luxor (Egypt) the day after tomorrow and will continue until next Sunday, with the participation of eminent writers and creators from Egypt and guests from the Arab world. Abdullah Muhammad Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, said: “The poetry houses in the Arab world have presented many activities that have actually contributed to the revival of the cultural movement in the Arab world. This has been demonstrated by hosting many writers and poets. in these houses and thus transformed into a true incubator for poets and talented people of all governorates. And the cities of the Arab countries, simultaneously the houses of poetry, took the initiative to print the collections of poems, which constituted a precious tributary of the Arab Library.

Abdullah Al Owais added: Sharjah, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is translating its vision for cultural development as the capital of Arab and Islamic culture through support unlimited of the creators of the Arab world, through their participation in its activities and programs organized throughout the year. In the various fields of culture.

The festival activities begin at the Palace of Culture in Luxor, with the words of Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Mustafa Elham, Governor of Luxor, and the speech of the poet Hussein Al-Qabahi, Director of the House of Luxor Poetry, followed by the first poetry evening with the participation of poets (Ahmed Sweilam, Ashrafassim Hinawi Al-Din, Sherine Al-Adawi, Muhammad Ismail, Muhammad Arab Salih) Presented by the poet Hassan Amer.

The activities of the second day start in the Luxor House of Poetry with the opening of the art exhibition entitled (Luxor Fourth Forum for Arabic Calligraphy) with the participation of 25 artists of Arabic calligraphy and calligraphy, where (30) paintings are exhibited , followed by an evening of poetry, at the end of which an artistic ceremony will be held.

As for the activities of the third day, it includes a critical session entitled (Transformations of the Arab poem), followed by a poetry session.

The closing day will see the signing ceremony of five collections of poems issued by the publications of the Sharjah Department of Culture, followed by a session of poets (Hussein Khudairi, Ihab Al-Bashbishi, Sherif Amin, Obaid Abbas, Muhammad Mansour Al-Kalhi ) under the direction of Bakri Abdul Hamid, and an evening of poetry with the Luxor Band and festival activities.
