Salwa Al-Moayad, writer and researcher, called for an economic union between the Arab countries, explaining that the countries of the region will not strengthen and become one of the developed countries except with this economic integration.
Al-Moayad explained that the painful thing is that we have all the elements of this integration, from a common language, a history and an enormous wealth on which scientifically advanced industries are based.
He added: We have different sources of oil, gas, minerals, cultivation of different types of agricultural crops, minerals, precious stones and the beauty of nature, and we also have historical monuments in Egypt, Iraq, Syria and other countries that complement each other. .
He concluded: We, as Arabs, must realize where our interests as governments and peoples are and strive to achieve them with economic unity among our countries.
